Kathmandu/Brisbane, 24 September, 2025 : With the resurfacing of a 2021 news report linking Mr. Hiroshi Khanal to a police inquiry in Nepal, questions have emerged once again regarding his involvement. A review of official documents and company statements confirms that Mr. Khanal was not responsible and has been formally cleared.
In November 2021, police raided the office of Being Human Clothing Nepal and discovered a sum of money. At the time, Mr. Khanal, then a young employee, was present on instructions from his employer. Because the company’s owner was absent, police placed him in custody for questioning. He was released shortly after and was never charged with any offense.
Following the incident, Being Human Clothing Nepal publicly stated that the funds in question were not “unexplained” but came from a cooperative loan for land purchase and earnings from the company’s business activities. The company condemned the raid as damaging to its reputation and pledged to provide all necessary documentation to the authorities.
In 2022, the company issued a further written statement, taking full responsibility and declaring: “Mr. Hiroshi Khanal was wrongly implicated due to circumstances. He has no connection to this matter and holds a clean sheet.”
Most importantly, the Department of Money Laundering Investigation, Government of Nepal, formally cleared Mr. Khanal, confirming that he bore no responsibility in the matter and maintains a clean record.
Today, Mr. Khanal resides in Australia, where he is pursuing an MBA, developing his career in marketing and leadership, and actively contributing to community initiatives, including fundraising and charitable causes.
The government clearance, the company’s admission of responsibility, and the public defense of the funds’ legitimacy provide full proof that the 2021 allegations do not apply to Mr. Hiroshi Khanal. His name has been officially cleared, and the past reports should no longer be associated with him.
